Saturday night I had a date with someone new, we will call him Paul. We went to see Memoirs of a Geisha. It was ok, not as good as the book, and it dragged in many spots. Anyways, then we went to whistle binkys for some blue moon. Talked and hung out. He was really sweet and cute. But, he just got divorced in November, so.... I know that means it will end badly. As such, I am taking it casually. He is really smart and loves batman. And he is another Mayo Clinic boy. I keep finding those. Oddly enough, he knows Mark. I made sure to be upfront about all that did and didnt end up happening for Mark and I. He seemed comfortable with the situation. I mean, its not like Mark and I were ever really an anything.

I didnt realize how much it hurt to be done with Mark until I was out on a new date. I would have to say that he was the first person in a long time that has made me feel anything, so, it hurt more then I admitted to myself when we decided to just be friends. I had high hopes for Mark and it felt nice to feel that way again. Now, we have Paul in the picture, I have no hopes for him. If he asks again... I will go out with him. My heart is just tired .... everytime it comes out; it receives more battle wounds and scars. Who could blame it for tucking back in its shell again.
