He was as sweet and gentle as the deer we shared the night with and his smile was as infectious as the energy of the music from the pavilion we stole away from. We spoke like hands held up to block the light of a firecracker; amazingly deep nothings. Each thing said gauging the others response - excited just to hear the next idea given to the nights air. But one image from that night blankets my mind in a dreamy fog; and that is the thought of his eyes.

Eyes so full of soul and compassion, I wanted to at once confess my every sorrow to him. Yet, as topics erupted that stirred his mind, these gentle eyes would flash with a fire and passion akin to a madness I cant convey.

I have never felt such a genuine and deep sense of connection on eye contact alone, which he rarely broke. Each moment was mind blowingly surreal. As he said good night and walked away, a falling star aligned itself with his disappearing figure- even more fantastical is that this was the third night in a row that I had seen a falling star- and each time, I simply begged one word- love.

So... cross your fingers for my heart my friends...I am so afraid to hope...but,I am seeing him again.
