Well, so, I signed the lease on an apartment last night. This is all moving so fast it sometimes feels as if I am imagining it all.

I leased a very small efficiency. This means that it is all one room with a bathroom. Although, it seems an outrage to call it a bathroom. In it's entirety (shower, sink and toily) it is smaller then most public bathroom stalls. But it will suffice.

The floor is of great interest to me as well. Apparently, the floor installing folks who by the age of the building are probably dead or retired now, were drunk when they poured or sculpted the floor. Unless the odd shape of it has happened over time. It is bumpy and lumpy and wavy all over. I don't mean textured either, but 3 and 4 inch hills all over. And then there is carpet over it.

There are 3 windows in the apartment. All three are of a different style. Clearly replaced over time as trends and products changed.

The chain for the door is retractable and encased in a small metal disk.

All the doors and cupboards have small pull down latches at the tops.

It is defiantly odd. But for 325 with utilities included, what more could you expect.

I do think it is growing on me. Cleaning it last night helped. I will be hauling stuff there all weekend. Scruffy the cat and Zoey the sugar glider are the only zoo members that are joining me.

I can't believe how well I am doing in this. I had one day where I really cried and broke down a bit. But an angel lifted me back up again. Thank you my sweet. I love you.

For now, I just keep pluggin' away. Once I have it all set up I know I will feel better.
