Ok,. so Saturday we woke up at the boat house and went to breakfast in town. Then we went to Dereks dads house- (he lives just a couple miles from boat house) his dad had to go to work so we took Dereks little brother fishing for a bit with us.

I caught a small mouth bass 5 minuetes after throwin in. But that was the end of the luck. They just werent bitein'.

Did get alot of kayaking though. Took Podunk out -she just loves the kayak. Here is a photo of her in it-

There were so many baby animals running round- for one some sparrows made a nest off the deck and the mommy kept sneaking in to feed them. But while I was yakin round I saw baby birds, turtles, muskrats, and did I mention TURTLES! As I would be going along in some of the stiller water- they would pop their heads up and then down again when they saw me comeing- I mean hundreds! It was great!

It was so nice all weekend for us. The river looked so nice- here is a shot off the back of the boat house -

Its so nice down there. We can use Dereks dads anytime but we really want to get one of our own so that we can have parties and set it up better. We want to buy one and add a bigger deck off the back with a rail for getting in and out of kayaks. Harder to do then boats- lower in the water and such. I guess the DNR does not allow any new ones to go up- but the existing ones go up for sale now and again- here is a shot of the harbor

Podunk loves it there too! Our other dog whinnes too much there though. Maybe if she went more she wouldnt get soo damn excited. HEre is a shot of podunk on the row boat- silly dog.

SHe can swim real good but she jumps out alot! SO haveing that handle on her back makes it easier to lift her back in- mostly cuz if she didnt have it I could not get her back in the kayak with out tipping it!

Well, thats all I have to report- no fish really but alot of relaxing and it was bueatiful! Make sure to read about the birthday bash here
