Coffee Cake???

OK so I am no Emeril.

I got this bee in my bonnet about makeing chocolate covered coffee beans myself. That way I could choose the bean and the chocolate to my liking!

I set about this task, today, after work. I knew I would of need beans, chocolate and wax. So- off to Wally World I went.

It had not occured to me to consider how I was gonna do this. I have never baked much more then a batch of regular old peanut butter cookies!

I got home and immediatly called upon the advise of my slightly insane granny. When I told her the task I was up to she laughed at me. This did NOT help my confidence!

She did tell me that I would need to use two pans so that one was sittin in the other just a bit. Also, she told me how much wax would be appropriate. But beyond that she had no experience at bean choclateing.

I started out good. Just throwing a few in at a time, then scooping them out and seperating them on wax paper. But, I am a VERY impatient worm.

SO...I dumped all my beans into the chocolate. Then, I poured them out onto a cake pan. Next, I melted some white chocolate and poured that all over the top.

So now, cooling in my fridge I have a coffee bean candy bar the size of a cake.

I believe I will cut into small sqares once its hardened and go from there.

Who knows I could have just made the best thing ever. But somehow I have my doubts. We shall see.

Leave me a NOTE :)
